Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Black Orthodontics. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthodontists in delivering top-notch treatment.

Job Summary:

The Orthodontic Assistant will assist our orthodontists in preparing patients for treatment, taking X-rays and scans, creating molds and impressions, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be responsible for ensuring all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, communicating with patients and parents about treatment progress, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist orthodontists in preparing patients for treatment, including taking X-rays and scans, creating molds and impressions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
  • Communicate with patients and parents about treatment progress and educate them on proper oral hygiene practices.
  • Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, taking photographs to document progress, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with the front office team to coordinate scheduling and ensure seamless patient flow.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer experience and proficiency in EMR systems.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • RDA and/or CA certification and/or Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
