About this Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities. This role requires minimal supervision and involves developing first-line customer relationships and identifying potential sales opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature-controlled merchandisers with guidance from a Master or Lead Service Technician.
  • Assist with compressor changeovers, leak detection, and coil cleaning with direction from a Master or Lead Service Technician.
  • Acquire knowledge through on-the-job training, including new product development, service bulletins, computer-based training, and issues.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately complete customer paperwork and invoicing using a hand-held computer.
  • Identify and utilize standard tools of the trade, including refrigerant recovery equipment.
  • Develop excellent customer relationships with Field Service Managers or Area Service Managers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and Certification from a Technical School or High School Diploma/GED and 3 Years of experience in HVAC.
  • Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to walk distances, bend, and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work nights and/or weekends as required.
