Critical Care Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Inpatient Nurse to become part of our dedicated team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role involves providing exceptional nursing care to young patients while adhering to family-centered care principles and efficient practices.

The preferred candidate will possess experience in critical care or cardiac nursing, with additional pediatric experience viewed favorably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients and their families
  • Assess situations and foresee potential challenges
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes
  • Guide patients and families in understanding and executing care strategies
  • Administer medications and treatments with precision
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing unit performance
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, associate’s degree, or a technical diploma in nursing
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience
  • RN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact
  • CPR - Basic Life Support certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, critical thinking capabilities, and a collaborative approach
