Job Summary

The Production Manager position is a key role within the Management Team at Wis-Pak of Hattiesburg, Inc. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, quality, and efficient production of cases at the lowest cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees and ensure all employees are trained and following all plant and safety, Food Safety, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation regulations.
  • Lead the Production Team and work closely with all members to develop best practices for the facility.
  • Be an active member of the Food Safety Team and stay up to date with food safety training.
  • Be a key member of the facility audit team and promote continuous improvement within the facility using WPMS.
  • Analyze and report on variances of actual vs budget and support and implement an annual operating budget to control labor, manufacturing, and variance costs.
  • Deliver improvements to the 4 manufacturing levers: Yield, Line Efficiency, Labor Efficiency, and Spending.
  • Maintain high safety standards, conduct audits, enforce safety policies, and ensure PPE is used.
  • Follow and enforce all Wis-Pak policies and procedures.
  • Provide all training necessary to personnel to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or seven total years of food or beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Must possess good people skills and proven ability to develop good problem-solving statements and use problem-solving skills to close the gaps.
  • Possess good skills in math, verbal, and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and time computer skills including Microsoft Office, JD Edward, SharePoint, and other intelligence tools.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations, including setting a good example.
  • Follow all Food Safety Plan practices and guidelines.
