Family Support Advocate

Families & Youth Inc is seeking a dedicated Family Support Advocate to provide specialized case management services to individual client needs. The ideal candidate will create programs to benefit clients and educate them on available community resources. This role ensures that clients receive services in a timely, appropriate, efficient, and coordinated fashion. Key competencies include Emotional Intelligence, Planning and Organizing, Professionalism, Adaptability, and Quality Focus.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clients with supportive services
  • Coordinate services between providers and clients
  • Interpret agency services to clients and community
  • Provide case management services and skill-building services to youth in the program
  • Provide housing case management services
  • Maintain individual case records on clients receiving services
  • Provide specialized case management services to individual client needs
  • Educate clients on available community resources and services
  • Create programs and services to benefit clients and the community
  • Attend community meetings relevant to program and clients
  • Administer and facilitate the completion of appropriate intake forms, assessments, intake packet, and service plans
  • Conduct field visits, attend meetings, and be available to deliver services during traditional and nontraditional hours (when needed) in the client's home, educational institutions, places of employment, and FYI's
Qualifications:
  • Human Services (Bachelor's degree) or Psychology or Social Services or Social Work or Sociology
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice
  • Must pass a CYFD Criminal Records Check
  • Must maintain a full certification of the following trainings: CPR/First Aid and CPI
  • Must maintain a valid NM Driver's License
