Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Five Points Nursing and Rehab in Amarillo, TX.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our residents, helping them achieve positive outcomes through skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments and individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents' conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits and develop targeted treatment plans to improve their independence and functioning.
  • Provide education and training to residents, caregivers, and other professionals on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other speech therapy techniques.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures and provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation.
  • Respond to family requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assure resident abuse or neglect does not occur and maintain confidentiality and safeguards for all patient information.

Requirements:

  • Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology and good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
  • SNF/Long-term care experience preferred, with current knowledge of treatment practices and Net Health Electronic Documentation System.
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and provide excellent customer service.
