Job Title: Emergency Preparedness Manager

The Emergency Preparedness Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's emergency preparedness activities and ensuring readiness for all emergencies that may impact operations. This includes financial management, quality improvement, staff education and development, program development, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and exercises
  • Coordinate with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison with organizations and agencies regarding emergency events and preparedness planning
  • Manage emergency response teams and hazmat decontamination operations
  • Develop and deliver training materials for employees and the community

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, or Public Administration
  • 5 years' experience in emergency preparedness, including 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in HAZMAT decontamination and emergency response team management
  • Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination, or ICS/HICS training preferred

Salary Range: $60,000 - $96,000
