Job Title: Human Resources Associate

This is a paraprofessional position performing specialized, complex, and confidential duties in the Benefits Unit of the Public Safety Shared Services Center (PSSSC). The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in starting a career in human resources and be able to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex, specialized, highly confidential paraprofessional duties related to Benefits administration for the PSSSC.
  • Receives documents from SERS for all PSSSC agencies and facilities.
  • Serves as a receptionist for the PSSSC Benefits Office.
  • Assists supervisor and other Benefits Office staff in working various insurance related reports.
  • Prepares, maintains, and stores a variety of benefit records and files.
  • Prepares various benefits related correspondence, letters, memorandums, reports, graphs, etc.
Requirements:
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college, or satisfactory completion of an approved training program.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.
