About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Permanency Specialist to join our team at SJRC Texas. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

Job Description

The Family Permanency Specialist will play a vital role in promoting the well-being of children in our Permanency Program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of Permanency cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families, developing personalized plans to achieve permanency.
  • Collaborating with public and private agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve optimal outcomes for children and families.
  • Providing crisis intervention and 24-hour on-call support to children and families as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and community resources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships with children, families, and agency stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Child Welfare or a related field, plus two years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, safe driving record, and ability to provide own transportation.
  • Training/Licensure/Certifications as required by SJRC Texas/Belong.
