Aveanna Healthcare is a leading provider of home health services, seeking a skilled Private Duty Nurse RN Specialist to join our team. With a focus on delivering compassionate, one-on-one care to medically fragile patients, this role requires the ability to implement care plans, administer medication, and educate families.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to our patients in their homes. As a Private Duty Nurse RN Specialist, you will work independently to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and their families. This is a part-time, night shift position with opportunities for flexible scheduling and career advancement.

About the Role:

  • Implement physicians' prescribed plan of care for patients with complex medical needs.
  • Patient assessments and coordination of care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians.
  • Compliant, timely documentation of care provided in our system of record.
  • Health promotion, teaching, and training of family members to support patient self-care.
  • Responsible for accepting and writing verbal orders from physicians, as required, and obtaining co-signature of Case Manager on all verbal orders.
  • Follow up with physician, client, family members, staff, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and/or changes in client condition.

Requirements:

  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state where you will practice.
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS.
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months).
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
