Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. As a key member of our registration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients and/or family members to obtain accurate financial and demographic information.
  • Verify patient insurance through our online eligibility system and determine the correct payer to minimize denials.
  • Complete estimates of charges for outpatient exams and determine patient liability.
  • Collect any amount due from patients and scan all required documents.
  • Complete forms required by governmental or commercial payers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with wheelchair transportation and cross-train to other registration areas as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to navigate computer systems, including Microsoft Office and registration systems.
  • Good typing and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
