Associate Director of Development Operations

The Associate Director of Development, Operations is a key member of the Development Office at Massachusetts General Hospital, responsible for managing key operational functions. This includes managing the Flexible Workplace Program, a hybrid work model that allows employees to work in the office a minimum of 4-6 days per month.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, organizational, project management, and communication skills. They will be a collegial, creative, tech-savvy, and proactive partner who can work effectively with diverse audiences in a fast-paced and collaborative hybrid work environment.
The Associate Director will be responsible for:
- Developing guidelines and business processes for the Flexible Workplace Program
- Managing employee workspace assignments and department-wide space-related projects
- Identifying and implementing improvements through internal collaboration and conducting staff surveys as needed
- Overseeing operations services handled by the coordinator, including office supplies, parking, and mail management
- Proactively managing equipment inventories and leading upgrades and maintenance
- Partnering with colleagues and institutional departments to project manage the deployment of workplace productivity tools
- Project managing a planned intranet conversion and serving as content manager for the Operations team sections
- Collaborating with program leaders to identify operational initiatives and practices to meet their business needs
- Partnering with Talent Management on employee engagement, onboarding, and offboarding
- Leading the department's safety processes and partnering with colleagues to manage Operations data and reporting needs
The Associate Director will also contribute to maintaining positive office morale and adhere to the mission, credo, and standards of behavior of Mass General Hospital. This position requires 5-7 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree. Project management experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hybrid work environment are strongly preferred.
