Position Overview

Adobe is on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Software Engineer to join our 3D and Immersive team. In this role, you will be instrumental in planning, designing, developing, and testing software solutions that enhance our customers' experiences with 3D content across ecommerce, web, and augmented reality platforms.

We seek a proficient software engineer with extensive experience in constructing real-time 3D content workflows to assist in the development, integration, debugging, and enhancement of a cloud-based 3D asset preparation system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize an automated 3D asset pipeline that processes user-generated content and produces high-quality, optimized models for efficient delivery and rendering across web, mobile, and AR environments.
  • Engage in all phases of software development, including design, coding, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of code/API.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of modular solutions adaptable for various applications.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced development team, maintaining clear, positive, and constructive communication.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 10+ years of experience in 3D software development.
  • Strong technical foundation complemented by analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in dynamic and intricate 3D asset workflows.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GLTF and USD formats, as well as texture and material models, and the latest advancements in efficient 3D data transport.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern C++ (experience with TypeScript, WebGL, and/or ReactJS is a plus).
  • Familiarity with BabylonJS or similar platforms.
  • Results-driven with a keen interest in learning new technologies and adapting swiftly to evolving requirements and environments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts and influencing others through well-reasoned arguments.
