Job Summary
The Food Service Worker at Kwik Fill is responsible for ensuring safe food handling and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer exceptional customer service by greeting customers with a smile and hello, and suggesting merchandise purchases.
- Operate food service equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company policy and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Communicate with management any customer complaints, safety concerns, or violations of laws and company policies.
- Follow all security and safety policies and procedures, and present a neat and clean appearance by adhering to the company dress code.
- Ensure that all products are coded, rotated, and have the proper date, time, and initials, and pull outdated or aged products for proper waste sheet recording and disposal.
- Adhere to all company policies contained in the policy manual and food service manual, and remain current on all new food service programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment.
- Organizational and communication skills, with a strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with prior food service experience helpful but not required.
Work Environment
The Food Service Worker will work in a typical retail restaurant setting, with a fast-paced environment and physical demands including lifting up to fifty pounds, bending and twisting, and standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
