About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming. As a valued member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Assist accounting management in analyzing and researching daily revenues and expenses collected from the gaming floor and other revenue-generating departments.
  • Financial Reporting: Enter financial data from system reports, gaming floor, and other source documents to generate daily management reports.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies to ensure the integrity of the financial reports issued by the Accounting department.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Notify and follow up discrepancies with other departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain/file/scan system reports and all related documents in an organized and workable manner both electronic and paper format to comply with record retention policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/business is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting is required.
  • Skills: Highly skilled in Excel functions and spreadsheets, proficient in the use of MS Word, excellent communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit, occasionally required to climb and use balance, frequently required to use hands and arms, carry, and lift items.
