Job ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support.
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, ensuring the personal needs and comforts of patients are met.
- Supports the mission and values of WakeMed by understanding the needs of the practice and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Ensures compliance with registration/certification requirements, including American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, and National Center for Competency Testing.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably.
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a preference for a Graduate Medical Assisting degree.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, with the option to obtain registration as a Medical Assistant within 24 months of hire.
This role offers a regular schedule, with working hours from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend requirements.
