Position Information:
The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver quality healthcare to patients. This role involves providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician, performing specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients. The Medical Assistant must understand the needs of the practice and support the mission and values of WakeMed.
The required registration/certification must be one of the following: American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Center for Competency Testing.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, and a Graduate Medical Assisting degree is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant is required within 24 months of hire.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5 pm.
Weekend Requirements:
No weekend work is required.
Call Requirements:
No call is required.
