Project Director

As a key member of the nextSource team, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating project activities to ensure the successful delivery of multiple and large projects within prescribed time-frames and funding parameters.
Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of assigned projects, including managing activities of various teams, establishing timelines, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing IT projects and a proven track record of delivering results.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning, managing, and coordinating multiple projects to ensure project initiatives and timelines are met.
- Developing project initiation processes, defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, creating project timetables, and tracking execution and workflow.
- Evaluating, planning, and monitoring project implementation for clinical systems, managing project and project delivery teams, ensuring deadlines are met, escalating issues for appropriate, timely resolution, and adhering to standardized project management methodologies.
- Developing interdisciplinary project teams in coordination with clinical user community to ensure deployment of systems, serving as liaison to project sponsors, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with clinical, financial, and quality teams to define and develop metric goals, partnering with management to develop tools and metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives, assisting with planning monitoring criteria and methodology, and ensuring availability of performance measurement data for review and analysis.
- Evaluating and driving risk management process improvements, efficiencies, and workflow enhancements.
- Partners with management, identifies end user education, training program, and services, assists in the development and maintains department policies and procedures.
- Provides subject matter expert support in the development of clinical and business information systems and integration to improve the timely completion of projects.
The successful candidate will operate under limited guidance and work assignments will be varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 5-7 years of project management for Information Technology projects, required. Experience in assigned technical area, required. PMP Certification, preferred.
