Position Summary: As an MEP Project Supervisor, you will oversee field operations related to critical facility construction projects. Your role will encompass supervising all field construction and commissioning activities conducted by electrical and mechanical subcontractors, as well as self-performed work. You will maintain ongoing communication with subcontractors to ensure timely project completion within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, A/E firms, Owner's Representatives, Construction Project Managers, subcontractors, and other vendors to facilitate construction activities.
  • Establish and manage project objectives, performance standards, and methods of procedure while adhering to corporate policies to minimize human error and downtime.
  • Provide leadership for all field-related MEP activities, coordinating with the Construction Project Manager and subcontractors for effective execution.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of project progress throughout its lifecycle.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, including sizing, costs, scheduling, quality control, system start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing and expenses, to safeguard the company's interests while fostering positive client relationships.
  • Ensure the security of the project site and company assets, maintaining a safe and respectful working environment through the implementation of safety, risk management, and quality control programs.
  • Review and confirm the reasonableness of extra charges from subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating with the project manager for necessary approvals.
  • Facilitate weekly project progress and safety meetings with subcontractor representatives, coordinating upcoming work activities.
  • Oversee the project closeout process, ensuring all resources are demobilized and the project is transitioned smoothly to the client.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or critical facilities MEP construction, with a focus on project size, scope, and complexity.
  • Experience with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems, including integrated testing and troubleshooting.
  • Budget management experience exceeding $10 million to $50 million is required.
  • Proven ability to direct and support commissioning efforts.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in managing change orders, billing, and report generation is preferred.
  • A degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is a plus.
