Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in Construction Projects: Provide support to skilled tradesmen in the construction of masonry, roofing, and wall systems structures. This includes preparing materials, mixing mortar, transporting equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  2. Perform Manual Labor: Execute physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, operating hand and power tools, and performing repetitive motions as required for masonry, roofing, and wall system projects.
  3. Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure proper storage and disposal of materials in accordance with company guidelines.
  4. Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and securing work areas to ensure a safe and productive environment for construction activities.
  5. Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries on the job site. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
  6. Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all work meets quality standards and complies with project specifications. Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and supervisors to achieve project goals within specified timelines. Communicate effectively and follow instructions from lead workers and supervisors.
  8. Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to supervisors for repair or replacement.
  9. Adaptability: Willingness to perform tasks beyond core responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the project and the company.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of masonry, roofing, or wall systems techniques and materials is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety practices.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required due to the need for effective safety and communication with our clients and team members.
