About the Role
Ascension Seton is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric critical care and be able to work collaboratively with our team of physicians and nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient history and perform assessments via observation, interview, and examination.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Document delivery of healthcare and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
1 year of experience preferred.
