Job Summary

We are looking for a talented CRNA to administer anesthesia to pediatric patients, assist in perioperative patient management, and respond to emergency/code situations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the clinical and academic Division at Texas Children's Hospital, a ranked children's hospital by U.S. News and World Report.

Responsibilities
  • Administer all forms of anesthesia, including inhaled, intravenous, neuraxial, and regional, for surgical or medical procedures.
  • Assess and evaluate patients prior to the administration of anesthesia to formulate an anesthetic plan.
  • Insert and use invasive and noninvasive monitors, as indicated.
  • Respond to emergency/code situations to provide airway management.
  • Document anesthetic information and patient condition.
  • May supervise or provide direction to student registered nurse anesthetists.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing. Current Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Comfortable practicing autonomously.
  • Candidate of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
