Compensation
This role offers an estimated salary of $19.25 per hour, plus potential for increases based on experience, totaling approximately $40,480 per year, depending on full-time status and location in Dayville, CT.
Job Responsibilities
The Production Associate/Assembler will be responsible for building and assembling various pieces, including completed truck bodies. Key tasks include:
• Reading and interpreting orders, specifications, blueprints, instructions, and labels
• Cutting wood or metals to specific sizes using saws, sheers, and cutters
• Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
• Operating pneumatic tools and hand tools
• Performing set up of machines and preventative maintenance
• Examining finished projects for quality and defects
• Conducting safety and quality checks
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years of previous manufacturing experience, be 18 years old, and possess basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills. Working knowledge of hand and power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, and high school diploma or equivalent GED are also required. Preferred qualifications include prior experience working on truck bodies and construction experience.
