Morgan Truck Body LLC, a leading manufacturer of truck bodies, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Associate/Assembler to join our team in Plainfield, CT.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional to build and assemble high-quality truck bodies. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you will play a key role in meeting customer demands and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret orders, specifications, blueprints, instructions, and labels to ensure accurate assembly and delivery of truck bodies.
  • Cut wood or metals to specific sizes using various saws, sheers, and cutters, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Operate pneumatic tools and hand tools to optimize production efficiency.
  • Perform setup of machines and preventative maintenance as required to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished projects for quality and defects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with a background in truck body assembly.
  • Basic math skills, tape measurement, and computer proficiency are essential for this role.
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools, including pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
