Job Summary:

The Recovery LPN will provide clinical and administrative support in our CSS unit, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Patient Care Director. This role involves facilitating patient access to recovery-oriented SUD treatment, resources, and community recovery groups, with a focus on medication administration and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage patients in a residential treatment setting and provide clinical support as needed.
  • Assist with providing patient care, including recording vital signs and discussing chief health concerns.
  • Perform and record specialized testing, such as EKGs, urine HCG, and urine drug screening.
  • Prepare and safely administer medications, including immunizations and injections.
  • Record medication administration and maintain count of controlled substances.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly medication room and administration area.
  • Perform quality control testing of point-of-care lab equipment.
  • Triage sick complaints from residential patients and perform initial evaluations.
  • Collaborate with behavioral health counselors to develop and implement recovery plans for patients with SUD, MH, or Dual Diagnoses.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to support recovery and healthy lifestyles.

Requirements:

  • Current license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • CPR & BLS/First Aid certification upon hire.
  • Previous experience working with substance use disorder patient populations preferred.
