Job Description:

The Maintenance Supervisor at Kisco Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of community facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents, family members, guests, and associates.

This is a full-time position, Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the physical condition of interior and exterior systems and machinery of the community campus as guided by the director.
  • Complete work to personalize and maintain apartments to delight prospective residents with their new home in support of the community sales process.
  • Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist.
  • Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations, and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Model a pride of ownership in community appearance.
  • Use and maintain tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic devices.
  • Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, and offices.
  • Know and comply with shut down, emergency, and evacuation procedures.
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical, and electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Manage maintenance and repair work through documentation, vendor relations, and operating within department budget.
  • Work as part of the team within your department and across the community.
  • Support open and honest communication with and between all associates.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Bring a smile to work every day.
  • Be a great team player.
  • High school graduate required, some college preferred.
  • Three to five years' experience as a supervisor and/or in a maintenance lead role.
  • Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, Internet-based, and custom applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Special Requirements/Certifications:
  • Technical training or HVAC certification is desirable.
  • Should have a high degree of mechanical skill.
