Bank Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a Bank Operations Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day sales, service, and operational efficiency of the teller, new accounts, and client service areas to ensure that client needs are met in an efficient and professional manner and that operational quality control is in place.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in opening new accounts for customers, including personal and business checking, savings, money market, and CD accounts.
- Close CD and installment saving accounts as requested by customers or at the end of the term date.
- Review the dormant account report and contact customers as appropriate.
- Review the CD maturity report.
- Assist customers with safe deposit box access.
- Update customer information, such as change of address and phone number, as requested by customers.
- Approve deposit, withdrawal, and other operations-related transactions up to the authorized approval limit.
- Order supplies as needed directly with vendors or through the appropriate department.
- Perform monthly, semi-annual, and quarterly GL certification.
- Provide customer service, including processing Reg E claims and providing banking services in-person and by telephone.
- Ensure that new accounts employees properly complete the new account checklist when approving new account documents.
- Minimum five years of experience in bank operations as a teller, new accounts representative, or supervisor required.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Some experience in retail sales and customer service functions a plus.
- Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills, basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, email, and online banking programs.
- Good analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
