Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist at All Med Search, you will be responsible for performing quality diagnostic procedures in a timely and accurate manner. You will operate CT and X-ray equipment, process images, and prepare rooms and equipment for procedures. You will also practice proper radiation safety techniques and maintain a safe environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed for patients.
  • Clean and disinfect CT rooms and equipment.
  • Observe proper radiation safety techniques on all exams.
  • Prepare Barium preparations and other CT contrast mixtures for procedures.
  • Prepare patients for CT exams, explain procedures, transfer patients to tables, position patients, and assist patients at the end of procedures.
  • Process images in accordance with industry standards and techniques.
  • Follow prescribed techniques in administering CT procedures/exams.
  • Observe patients and machines during procedures and report unusual occurrences and record patient conditions.
  • Maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties.
  • Inspect and report equipment/room malfunctions within shifts.
  • Transport patients as necessary.
  • Take calls as required.
  • Assist with other duties assigned by the AVP/Director and/or Imaging Manager/Supervisor/Lead Tech.
  • Perform all CT procedures on patients between infancy and geriatric ages.
  • Participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to department staff, students, volunteers, and other departments, and contribute to teamwork essential to ensuring quality patient care.
  • Take appropriate measures to ensure patient safety.
  • Efficiently operate the PACS.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and coworkers.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing for Urine HCG and Creatinine. Calculate GFR.
  • Draw lab samples as necessary.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services.
  • Complete educational activities as assigned.
  • Follow proper procedures for infection control.
