Surface Preparation and Protective Coating Specialist

As a Surface Preparation and Protective Coating Specialist at Holtec International, you will be responsible for performing high-quality surface preparation and protective coating applications using various metal finishing equipment and protective coating application equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup, operate, and maintain blasting and other types of surface preparation equipment.
- Set-up, operate, and maintain paint spraying and other types of protective coating equipment.
- Interpret technical requirements of surface preparation and protective coating applications and verify surface finish and coating quality for acceptance to applicable specifications and standards.
Physical Demands & Abilities:
- Lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. infrequently; lift and carry up to 25-30 pounds frequently.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use a computer.
- Frequently required to use industrial spray paint equipment, wear respirators and/or powered air systems, walk, stand, climb stairs, climb ladders, use an aerial lift, and sit or stand at a workstation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Post high school training in a related field.
- Prior experience in an industrial spray painting operation is preferred; experience in automotive painting is a plus.
- Prior experience with work order computer data entry systems.
