Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in addressing the social, emotional, and life adjustment factors affecting students' success in school and life.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of students from diverse backgrounds to identify their unique needs and develop effective intervention strategies to improve their social and emotional health.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the school, home, and community resources to facilitate access to services such as mental health care, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for students and families.
- IEP and 504 Plan Development: Participate in the development and evaluation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans to ensure students receive the necessary support and accommodations to succeed academically and personally.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide crisis intervention as needed and help manage situations such as bullying, abuse, or other emergencies, ensuring students receive the support and care they need in times of crisis.
- Advocacy and Support: Advocate for students' needs and collaborate with school administrators to promote a supportive and inclusive educational environment that fosters academic success and personal growth.
- Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Social Work and valid Maryland licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical (LCSW-C).
- Experience and Skills: Experience in a school setting is highly preferred, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and educators.
- Knowledge and Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of child development, educational environments, and community resources, with a commitment to providing high-quality support and services to students and families.
