Job Title: Social Worker
Job Description
The Clinical Social Worker I provides clinical social work services to students and their families. The role serves as a social work role and training model to graduate social work/counseling trainees and interdisciplinary team members. The incumbent develops Mental Health IEP goals and implements those goals as outlined.
Hard Skills
Social Work competence across all age groups due to diversity of the children and families served
Case Management with a clinical care focus on neonate, pediatric, adolescent populations, and some disabilities
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the state of Maryland required
Soft Skills
Advocacy for client needs
Clear, concise, and assertive communication in written and oral form
Competence in crisis management including clinical and administrative follow-up
Maintaining working relationships with staff, students and their families, interdisciplinary and interagency representatives, and visitors
Consideration of cultural factors in treatment planning
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in California, Maryland.
Work Environment
School environment in California, Md.
