Position Overview:

This part-time role involves delivering instruction for courses in Applied Business at Advanced Nutrients, as part of our commitment to professional education.

The responsibilities include:

  • Conducting primarily online classes in Applied Business.
  • Updating course materials to reflect current business practices.
  • Supporting program initiatives and participating in professional development.
  • Engaging in course development as necessary.

As a Business Instruction Specialist, you will report to the Faculty Director and are typically contracted on a semester basis to teach at least one course annually.

  • Leadership and Management

This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, providing a unique opportunity to influence and enhance the student learning experience.

The selection committee will evaluate applications as program needs arise. Candidates will be contacted only when a teaching opportunity becomes available.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to university policies while delivering effective instruction.
  • Set high expectations and provide clear guidance to support student achievement.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments.
  • Engage students in collaborative projects and submit final grades punctually.

Stay informed about trends in the business sector and contribute to curriculum updates to align with educational goals.

Participate in professional development activities and maintain an active dialogue within the faculty community.

Hold weekly office hours that accommodate student schedules and collaborate with program staff to address course-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least ten years of professional experience in a related area.
  • Minimum one year of teaching or corporate training experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience teaching in higher education.
  • Leadership experience in a business context.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field or adult higher education.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses, including online formats.
  • Understanding of pedagogical approaches that integrate theory with practical application.
