Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Director will provide sales support and leadership to a select portfolio of hotels, maximizing profits and adhering to the guidelines set forth by Stonebridge Companies and hotel brand standards. This role will work cohesively with sales teams and General Managers to capture group business and corporate transient business, ensuring sales leads are handled efficiently and visits to local businesses are properly prospected and cold-called.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with sales teams and General Managers to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for rate and occupancy.
• Monitor the Sales Pro system to ensure solicitation calls are properly documented and account information, contracts, correspondence, and emails are accurately captured.
• Evaluate promotional events, trade shows, community, and industry events to ensure attendance produces the proper return on investment.
• Perform job functions with a high attention to detail and efficiency, organizing, prioritizing, and following up with a sense of urgency.
• Assist with setting sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for rate and occupancy, understanding hotel operations, including room types, meeting capacities, services, features, and benefits for assigned hotels in your territory.
• Review STAR reports on a weekly basis and create action plans as necessary, communicating with Revenue Management and GM to ensure pricing is appropriate and adjust selling strategies as needed.
• Provide sales strategy to exceed revenue goals and ensure these strategies are being executed by the sales teams in each market, being innovative and gregarious when interacting with people.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with college-level sales/marketing classes or a Business Degree preferred. 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a Director of Sales with multi-property experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should be able to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents, respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Proficient use of Sales Pro and strong working knowledge of MS Word, specifically Excel, are required, with experience with automated accounting systems preferred.
