Instructional Designer

At the University of California, Irvine, we are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team in the Division of Continuing Education. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in the development of high-quality online courses that enhance student learning and engagement.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop online courses that align with learning objectives and incorporate best practices in instructional design.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and developers to create engaging and accessible course content.
- Conduct needs analysis, backward design, and assessment design to ensure courses meet learning objectives.
- Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology.
- Masters degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in online course design and delivery using instructional design/learning experience design practices in higher education.
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and G-Suite applications.
- Experience with LMS systems, project management tools, and eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A competitive salary range of $69,500-$82,000.
- A 7-month contract position with opportunities for renewal.
