* Instruct students in the Certified Nurse Assistant curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements and program specifications.
* Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, personal and/or study habits and problems.
* Develop and prepare supplemental lessons and recommend curricula changes.
* Individualize the Certified Nurse Assistant curriculum to fit students' choices of vocation and maintain contact with counselors and instructors.
* Prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations.
* Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Attend required staff training sessions.
* Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills, including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
* Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
* Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
Requirements:
* Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
Additional Requirements:
* Knowledge of required subject area.
* Ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives fluently in English.
* Ability to compose descriptive reports.
* Ability to use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students and effectively relate to the trainee population.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
