Job Summary

The Certified Nurse Aide plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a member of our healthcare team, you will apply and demonstrate all knowledge and skills learned in the Nurse Aide Training Program. You will work under the supervision of a Certified Nurse Aide Instructor and assume specific duties involving direct resident care.

Responsibilities
  • Attend and complete the Certified Nurse Aide Training course, which addresses all areas of care rendered to a given population (i.e. geriatric) within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide.
  • Responsible for completing work assignments, being prompt, prepared for class and report as scheduled, and maintaining good attendance.
  • Learn the knowledge and skills required for a Certified Nurse Aide through in both a classroom and clinical setting.
  • Adhere to all rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior.
  • Successfully pass the NYS Certified Nurse Aide Exam in order to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant; composed of both computer based written exam and a clinical skills exam monitored by a registered nurse evaluator.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English; High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others.
  • Experience in service delivery in the health care, business or domestic field is preferred.
  • Must be able to attend the 4 weeks Certified Nurse Aide Training Course.

  • Close Eye Work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
  • Sedentary (continuous sitting)
  • Light Work (standing, walking, lifting
