Production Team Leader

Careerbuilder-US is collaborating with a client to find suitable candidates for the position of Production Team Leader . This role is focused on overseeing various sections of the production floor and is essential for ensuring optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Effective Management of Production Processes:


• Develop and implement daily production activities that maximize resource utilization while assigning specific tasks to team members based on their skills and workload.


• Monitor production flow by tracking output to ensure it aligns with established schedules, addressing any delays or equipment issues promptly. Implement corrective actions and preventative measures to mitigate future occurrences.


• Ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for smooth operations.


• Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Inventory, to facilitate seamless workflow and communicate any changes in production requirements.

Commitment to Safety and Quality Standards:


• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process.


• Assess current production methodologies and introduce improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.


• Apply best practices and lean manufacturing principles to boost efficiency.

Personnel Management and Development:


• Engage in the recruitment process to select qualified candidates and conduct orientation and training sessions for new team members.


• Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge. Encourage team members to pursue professional growth and certifications.


• Establish clear performance expectations and goals for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance issues promptly.


• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, addressing conflicts within the team fairly and promptly.

Additional Responsibilities:


• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions.


• Provide support for other managerial roles as necessary.



Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is advantageous.

Experience:

Two to three years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Required Knowledge:

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices.

Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.

Familiarity with equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance.

Understanding of quality control procedures and standards.

Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety regulations and protocols, including hazard identification and risk assessment.

Effective team leadership, conflict resolution, performance management, and employee development skills.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production challenges.

Capability to analyze data, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and other departments.

Proficiency in using production management software and systems.
