Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at NorthBay Health. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and their families, utilizing your expertise in neonatal nursing to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients assigned to your care
  • Utilize a therapeutic professional relationship with patients and their families to facilitate health promotion, maintenance, and restoration
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neonatal nursing
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
  • Nursing degree of BSN level or higher required (excludes grandfathered employees)
  • Valid, current, and unencumbered RN license by the State of California
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Course required within 4 months of hire
  • STABLE required within one year of hire
  • National nursing certification preferred
  • At least six months of RN acute care experience or six months of same day surgical experience
  • One year of NICU RN experience highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced newborn assessment skills
  • Neonatal resuscitation skills
  • Experience with ventilator support and nasal CPAP
  • Transportation of sick neonates
  • Newborn hearing screening and CHD screening
  • Transcutaneous bilirubin screening
  • Developmental interventions and breastfeeding
