Role Summary:
The selected candidate will be instrumental in expanding ARA's suite of technological solutions in signal processing, Physics-informed Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Software Development. This role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with peers and leadership to devise comprehensive solutions addressing critical national challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior AI/ML Business Strategist, you will:
1. Cultivate and expand the business sectors focused on scientific solutions utilizing AI/ML at ARA.
2. Lead the preparation of proposals, RFIs, and RFPs while spearheading business development initiatives in AI/ML.
3. Design and implement software solutions for science-informed AI/ML technologies.
4. Recruit and develop a dynamic team of skilled software developers and engineers.
5. Oversee business development and management activities, including teamwork, organization, and personnel management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- US Citizenship, with eligibility for a security clearance due to the nature of the work.
- A Master's or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in business development, particularly with a track record of transitioning DoD/commercially funded programs from proposal to delivery.
- Extensive client-facing project experience with the Department of Defense and/or commercial clients.
- Familiarity with AI/ML research, especially in physics-informed machine learning, computer vision, or optimization.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing enterprise-grade software solutions for complex technological challenges.
- Academic or industrial research experience in computational science or AI/ML, demonstrating a profound understanding of the underlying physics and mathematics.
- Proficiency in Python, Linux, and C/C++, along with knowledge of popular machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $225,000, commensurate with education and experience.
