Job Title: Senior Radar Processing Engineer for Electronic Warfare Applications

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Radar Processing Engineer to join our team at Applied Research Associates, Inc. in Dayton, OH.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced radar processing algorithms for electronic warfare applications. This includes synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing, scattering center processing, and automatic target recognition (ATR) using AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for EW applications
  • Implement and enhance radar signal processing software using SAR, optimal waveform design, MIMO signal design and analysis, EM spectrum management, and Electronic Warfare techniques
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to advance ATR algorithms
  • Support business development activities, including developing responses to RFPs and RFIs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in researching, implementing, or applying radar signal processing techniques or related electronic warfare technologies
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active or prior security clearance of Secret or higher (TS//SCI preferred)
  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or related discipline
  • Experience with radar range measurements, calibration, and signal processing
  • Experience with open system architectures (SOSA, Big Iron, etc.)
  • Experience programming field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) for real-time processing
  • Experience with software-based EW wargaming M&S (AFSIM, etc.)
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing for EW applications
