Job Description

Job Summary:

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will be responsible for providing support for our information assurance program, proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operational security posture for our information systems or programs to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
  • Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
  • Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
  • Perform vulnerability/assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Experience is to include at least two (2) of the following areas: (1) Knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, and communication protocols (2) Encryption techniques/tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) level 1.
  • Experience in Nessus Scanning.
  • Experience in NMAP.
  • Experience in Splunk (Security Essentials).
