MITRE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our National Security Accelerator Program. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with senior government leaders and stakeholders, and develop your skills in cybersecurity principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement innovative solutions and technologies to enhance the security posture of our government sponsors.
- Collaborate with mission specialists and engineers to support our national security sponsors in addressing complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Conduct cyber threat analysis and mitigation, develop and implement Zero Trust security architectures, and engage with senior government leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement secure software development practices and DevSecOps methodologies, and collaborate with external partners and industry experts on cybersecurity research and development initiatives.
- Typically Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, familiarity with government security standards, policies, and procedures, and demonstrated proficiency in technical areas relevant to the specific role.
- Active DOD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, and flexibility to work on-site as required by the position.
- Bachelors and 5 years of experience in cyber engineering principles, tools, and systems, with a focus on defense or national security applications or Master's and 3 years of experience.
- Proven track record of working on projects related to defense, homeland security, or aerospace for one or more government agencies.
- Demonstrated interdisciplinary background, showcasing continual learning and adaptation to new technologies and concepts.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
