Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operating Room First Assistant Travel Nurse RN to work in our Bradenton, Florida facility. As an Operating Room First Assistant, you will serve as the primary assistant to the surgeon during surgery, preparing and using surgical equipment and instruments, cutting and handling tissue, controlling bleeding, monitoring patient status, and bandaging wounds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during surgery, preparing and using surgical equipment and instruments
- Prepare and handle tissue, control bleeding, and monitor patient status
- Bandage wounds and assist with post-operative care
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
- Current RN licensure and certification as an Operating Room First Assistant
