About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians and other providers to ensure quality care and appropriate documentation for surgical patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership and support to health team members through excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Work effectively with the entire healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in process improvement measures and contribute to the SCIP committee.
  • Perform functions delineated under surgical services ARNP/Physician Assistant delineation of privileges.
Requirements
  • Current FL RN License
  • At least 2 years of First Assist OR experience
  • BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association, required
  • Current PALS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Current CSFA certification (through NBSTSA) or SA-C certification (through ABSA) must be maintained for employment
  • Maintains licensure as Surgical First Assistant where indicated by State Law
  • Completion of a CAAHEP accredited or ABSA approved First Assistant program that includes didactic and supervised clinical practice
