Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Hospice Care Assistant to join our team at the University of Tennessee Hospice in Knoxville, TN. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families.

About the Role:

  • As a Hospice Care Assistant, you will provide personal direct patient care services under the direction and ongoing supervision of a registered nurse.
  • You will assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, transfers, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, or undressing, eating or toileting.
  • Incidental household services essential to the patient's health care at home will also be performed by you.
  • Participate in QAPI (Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement) plan or process identifying problems and reporting administrator daily or as needed.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
  • Current CPR certification requirements.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
