About Hospice Aide Career Opportunities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Aide to join our team at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized patient care services as outlined in the Plan of Care on a daily basis.
  • Conduct after-patient encounters with the Executive Director or designee regarding the patient's condition or environment.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as mobility, transfers, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and other essential tasks.
  • Perform household services crucial to the patient's healthcare at home.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives by identifying problems and reporting administrators as needed.
Requirements
  • Complete a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
  • In Tennessee, complete 75 hours of training including 16 hours of clinical training within the first three months of employment.

Compensation: $52,000 - $72,000 per year, based on experience. This estimated salary range reflects the costs of living in the Knoxville area, taking into account factors such as housing, transportation, and food expenses.
