Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere at the Maxx Fitness facility;
- Build rapport with clients to facilitate personal training service sales;
- Maintain current personal training certifications;
- Observe clients and provide feedback for skill enhancement;
- Assess individual abilities and create tailored training programs;
- Track client progress and adjust workout plans accordingly;
- Demonstrate a sales-oriented mindset with a focus on salary plus commission;
- Develop a client base through fitness assessments and showcasing the benefits of personal training;
- Instruct clients on safe and effective exercise techniques;
- Design and implement comprehensive fitness programs aligned with client goals;
- Encourage and motivate clients through goal setting and regular progress evaluations;
- Deliver exceptional service to all members.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods;
- Part-Time Trainers: 20 or more hours per week;
- Full-Time Trainers: 40 or more hours per week.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required;
- CPR certification is mandatory;
- Personal Training Certification is essential.

Personal Trainers must possess current national certification or a degree in Exercise Science. If you are exploring personal training careers and are not yet certified, consider researching the following courses:
American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT), American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA), American Aerobics Association International (AAAI), Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), K&K Fitness Insurance.
