Cardiology Veterinary Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Cardiology Technician to join our esteemed Cardiology department at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with heart disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients with early to advanced heart disease through outpatient appointments and serial diagnostics
  • Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatments with DVMs
  • Educate owners about cardiac diseases, prognosis, and homecare
  • Utilize various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment
  • Assist in outpatient and surgical procedures
  • Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to patients, advocating for their well-being during hospitalization
  • Maintain equipment on a per-use basis to ensure safety and best practice care for patients

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, CVT preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Diligent worker who takes initiative and contributes to the operation of the entire hospital
