DaVita Patient Care Technician Job Description

DaVita is seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team in an outpatient dialysis center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Measure and record patient statistics, observations, and hemodialysis machine setup
  • Build long-term relationships with patients and their families
  • Participate in a cross-functional team of clinicians, including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical and mental ability to work on your feet for extended periods
