Patient Care Manager

The Birthing Center at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is a Level 1 community hospital unit with 12 LDRP's. Our team cares for a variety of populations, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, GYN, Pediatrics, and transitional newborn care in our Special Care Nursery.
We provide specialty services for women and children of all ages, as well as lactation and resolve through sharing (RTS) perinatal loss support. Our department has over 30 staff members working as Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Health Unit Clerks.
This role requires leadership availability during off hours to assist and guide staff in emergencies. Full Time / Part Time opportunities are available with Full Time Benefits.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and operate at the department level, responsible for day-to-day operations. They will demonstrate the defined ProHealth Care Leadership Attributes and provide leadership in accordance with outlined behaviors to achieve service excellence, organizational goals, values, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
This role supports fiscal oversight of allocated resources, assets, and expenses, making necessary decisions to adjust for variations in projected budget income caused by fluctuating volumes and other external forces.
The successful candidate will provide Human Resources leadership to direct reports through effective hiring, orientation, training, mentoring, and coaching. They will provide ongoing recognition, feedback, and development, holding staff accountable for success. They will ensure appropriate resources are provided to staff and develop a staffing plan that meets both customer expectations and financial constraints.
This role performs the duties of a registered nursing in accordance with nursing code of ethics, the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Wisconsin, ProHealth Care Nursing policies and procedures.
